Kym has a longstanding personal passion for health and wellbeing. Having undertaken two years of study in Naturopathy she found her major area of interest shift to manual therapies. Kym then continued her studies in Myotherapy with completing a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Myotherapy.
Kym has a holistic approach to treatment and understands that pain can have a major impact on one’s quality of life. She is passionate about helping individuals regain and sustain their short and long-term functional goals. She understands that no two bodies are the same and therefore tailors her treatment to suit the needs of the individual. She is committed to maintaining the highest level of care and keeps up-to-date with evidence-based best practice.
Kym has a special interest in therapeutic movement and exercise as well as mind-body practices and believes building resilience to pain and injury is a fundamental part of treatment. Kym completed her final year critical literature review on mindfulness-based interventions for the management of chronic pain conditions and continues to further her study in this area.
Kym has practiced yoga for the past 10 years and has recently completed a yoga teacher trainer program. Her other passions include travel, the great outdoors and sustaining a happy and healthy lifestyle.
