Carissa Stewart
Owner / Myotherapist / Manager

Carissa Stewart is the founder and manager at Body Align Myotherapy & Massage. Carissa completed her Advanced Diploma in Myotherapy in 2002, certified Rehabilitation Pilates Instructor in 2008, and Level 1 Life Coach in 2019. Carissa’s story…. Carissa, unfortunately, was involved in an accident at the age of 16, which caused her to suffer from chronic low back pain. Carissa was determined (and now believes!) not to live a life in pain, and with Myotherapy treatments, Pilates and taking on all the advice she was given, she achieved this. Carissa’s accident was life-changing… It helped her choose her career, understand chronic pain, and gave Carissa her love and passion to help others! Carissa takes a holistic approach with her treatments, combining Myotherapy, Pilates, coaching, and clinical experience. In the past twenty years, she has treated many acute and chronic conditions, specialising in headaches, migraines, frozen shoulder, and chronic back pain. Carissa loves working with her clients to achieve their best health, mentoring the Body Align team, and managing our beautiful space. *Carissa is currently not taking on new clients. If you have been referred to Carissa, please call us.
