Millie is a qualified clinical Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist, Millie joined the team in 2018.
MIllie discovered her interest in health and musculoskeletal rehabilitation after completing a volunteer placement in the U.K. at Queen Elizabeth’s Brain Injury Centre in 2009. Observing a multidisciplinary team provide high quality care to patients in need was a unique learning experience, sparking her desire to help others regain function and movement following significant injury. Before Millie found her way into Myotherapy, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (History & Ancient History) at the University of Sydney in 2014. After moving to Melbourne for a change of scenery in 2015, it was here Millie discovered and began studying a Bachelor of Health Science in Clinical Myotherapy.
Throughout Millie’s degree, she had developed a specific interest in exercise rehabilitation and patient management. Millie complemented her degree with further study in functional assessment, which helps screen for injury risk, biomechanical deficits and facilitates a movement based approach to individual recovery. During Millie’s uni course, she also took on placement with a soccer club and worked as a Sports Trainer with a football club, where I learnt key aspects to injury management, prevention and recovery.
Millie love’s to stay active in her spare time, with a walk, run or social gym class to get the heart pumping and endorphins flowing.
