Training & Recovery

Whether you're training for a marathon, a charity hike or just to stay healthy, we are here to help support you through your active lifestyle. Keep reading for details on how we can help with injury prevention, management and recovery.

Myotherapy

Our Myotherapists can help with niggles that may arise during your pre-event training or that may hang around post-event.

The one we treat most often is iliotibial band syndrome in runners. It can be a very long and frustrating issue to deal with on your own. We are here to help by identifying the cause, eliminating the pain, addressing muscle imbalances, and giving you corrective exercises to prevent it from returning. We work with you to achieve your sporting goals.

Massage Massage is an incredible tool to help the body both prepare and recover during training cycles and can help to prevent potential injuries.

The frequency of which you get massage depends on how often and hard you train. Weekly when training for an event, or at least monthly, massage can help any active person with recovery and prevent injuries.

Depending on if you are in training for an event or in the recovery phase, your therapist will utilise the most appropriate techniques to help you achieve your sporting goals.

Infrared Sauna Your secret weapon when it comes to recovery. As the soothing heat warms you, circulation and oxygen flow increases, delivering key nutrients and enzymes to the muscles, helping them to repair and rebuild. Also, having a stretch in the sauna is a great way to improve your range of movement, helping you to prevent injury. Enjoy as a standalone session or pair with your choice of Massage or Myotherapy for a winning recovery plan!
